Now for today’s recipe — Day 7 is one of my go-to roast recipes. It was originally shared with me by a friend from work but I’ve seen it all over the ‘net. I add my own little twist and this baby is a staple on our menu.
CROCKPOT THREE PACKET POT ROAST
One (1 oz) packet of Ranch Dressing Mix
One (.7 oz ) packet of Italian Dressing Mix
One (.87 oz ) packet of Brown Gravy Mix (I buy the large container from Costco and use 1/4 cup)
1 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
3 1/2 lb Chuck Roast
I use my large oval Crock-pot. Trim the meat if necessary (mine is fairly lean so I use as-is).
Put into insert, sprinkle the roast with the Worcestershire sauce. In a small bowl, combine the mixes and the one cup of water. Pour over the roast. Cover. Cook in the slow cooker on low for 6 to 8 hours, until fall-apart good. Enjoy! You can also add chopped carrots, celery, and potatoes prior to cooking (but I rarely do for some reason).
